We took the breakfast at the same annoying hotel where we enjoyed only the croissants and the WI-FI connection. From there we drove to the ferry and we crossed the English Channel enjoying the view. Razvan bought a pair of sunglasses on the ferry and just to be sure that we are not having trouble again to find alcohol for this night we got two bottles with a big concentration.

On our way to Bodiam Castle (the place where Mongol Rally started in 2013) we stopped to a bar where we ate really good food in a lovely atmosphere. We decided to stop on the left side at an “Italian food Restaurant” as Razvan was suggested but we again missed the destination. We left the ferry with the though to eat something British but what could have been more British than Indian food? When we entered the place we found a big crowd of chefs who were relaxing and having a good time in the yard. They opened the terrace for us and prepared the ovens because we were the only customers they had at that moment.

We spent around 2 hours there but it was really enjoyable for us.

We discovered Boadim Castle in a fairy landscape. Yurty parked in the big sea of cars and was ready to start the 16000 km as far as Mongolia is. We registered and met Sophie, Dan and the rest of The Adventurists team. We started meeting some members of the others international teams from Australia, USA, Canada, Brasil etc. With the help of 273 and Fortified Churches Administration we offered them some tourist guides for Romania and churches in Transylvania.

We camped on the meadow next to a tree that had a big shade and we enjoyed a big burger for dinner. Bodiam Castle (built around 1340) gave the start for the pary. It has a swamp around it. There were also some actors hired by the organizers who meant to take us back to the time when the castle was live and even more to meet the phantoms of the chevaliers dead along the time and who were serving the castle.

We were enjoying the classical music at the arrival at the castle and the atmosphere was amazing. Around 9 p.m. we left the castle for the after party. We partied up to 4 a.m. with the other teams and after we had our first night in the tent.

One of the teams that we had a bond with was Naren with Eugenia and Jasmine – an Indian, a Korean and an Iranian all actually living in USA.
